HORUSTEC
Horustec is an advanced indoor tracking and circulation management solution, developed by CarttecLAB, incorporating state-of-the-art technology such as Ultra Wide Band (UWB), RFID and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This multifunctional platform is designed for accurate and efficient control of the movement of assets and people. Its ability to locate, monitor and optimise flows in real time makes it an innovative tool that improves the operability and efficiency of airport facilities.
Description
What can we analyse?
Horustec is a comprehensive solution, developed by Carttec Group, for the management of trolleys and mobile assets at airports, providing full control and real-time visibility. With Horustec, it is possible to know exactly how many trolleys are in each area of the airport and their location at all times, allowing operators to anticipate and respond to changing demands in different areas. Whether at the counter line, terminals or parking areas, trolleys are continuously tracked, optimising the availability and flow of these critical assets.
In addition, the time of use or immobilisation of each trolley is recorded, which facilitates inventory management and maintenance. Other mobile elements, such as street sweepers, are also monitored, providing detailed information on their routes, daily cleaning time and operating schedules.
TROLLEY AND ASSET MANAGEMENT AT AIRPORTS
The Horustec system not only enables comprehensive control of baggage trolleys, but also provides an advanced platform for the management of any mobile asset within the airport. This includes not only monitoring, but also analysing and optimising the use of these resources in real time.
Main functions
Horustec offers key tools for trolley and asset management at airports, including:
- Dynamic management: Horustec provides real-time tracking data, allowing the exact location and status of trolleys throughout the airport.
- Identification, dispatch and receipt: Full traceability of trolleys from the moment they enter the airport, as well as their movement between different areas.
- Statistics and analysis: The platform collects data stored in the cloud, allowing the creation of reports and statistics based on the preferences and operational needs of each airport. These reports help to optimise resource allocation and improve the user experience.
- Maintenance and breakdowns: Automatic recording of malfunctions and maintenance data of the trolleys, which facilitates the planning of repairs and ensures constant availability of the equipment.
Integrated technologies for asset control
- RFID: This technology makes it possible to manage trolley collections automatically and in real time, using fixed antennas that record the location of the trolleys, or with the intervention of personnel using hand-held readers. RFID is an efficient solution for the control of assets in specific areas.
- BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy): BLE employs active beacons with low-power technology, which allow remote and accurate identification of the trolleys. With greater range and accuracy than RFID, BLE provides better visibility of assets in motion.
- Ultra Wide Band (UWB): UWB technology provides up to 10 cm accuracy in the geolocation of trolleys. This not only allows the exact location to be known in real time, but also allows the movement of trolleys through the different areas of the airport to be analysed. This precision is ideal for anticipating needs and avoiding congestion, optimising the flow and operability of assets in the airport space.
Key benefits of Horustec at the airport
Continuous monitoring capabilities and detailed data analysis enable more efficient management of trolleys and assets at the airport. The Horustec platform improves operational planning, reduces waiting times, minimises losses due to theft or unauthorised movements, and ensures greater availability of trolleys for passengers. Furthermore, its integration with advanced technologies such as RFID, BLE and UWB makes Horustec a versatile and accurate solution for optimal asset management at airports.
