Carttec (Cart Technology SL) was created in 2007 as a company dedicated to the distribution of supermarket and hypermarket equipment as a representative of the French company Caddie.
The company starts with a team of 6 people in an industrial warehouse in Alcobendas, Madrid.
In 2008, the company moved to a larger industrial building of 600m2 in Avenida Valgrande 29, Alcobendas, Madrid, with a warehouse area and ofﬁces.
In 2009, Carttec entered into an agreement with Gatekeeper for the exclusive distribution in Spain and Portugal of its products, including car anti-theft systems.
In 2010, the company agrees to represent the products of the American company Mart Cart, including a vehicle for people with reduced mobility.
In 2011, Carttec begins to collaborate with international companies and manufacturers.
In 2012, Carttec starts new business lines including the marketing of equipment for the hospitality and airport sectors.
In 2013, following the international crisis, the company establishes international agreements with Asian manufacturers especially for the trolley market.
In 2014, Carttec formalizes the first cart projects manufactured in China.
In 2016 the logistics centre is created in Ribarroja del Turia, Valencia, with facilities of more than 6000 m2 in response to the growing demand of our customers.
In 2017, the headquarters are moved to a new office in Calle Corazón de María 67, Madrid, keeping the facilities in Alcobendas as a support logistic centre.
In 2019, Carttec strengthened its relationship with the University of Salamanca by promoting the creation of innovative products seeking to revolutionise the world of retail at its R&D&I centre.
