survive in an airport this summer

It’s time for a holiday, to enjoy a bit of time off after a whole year of work. This is when millions and millions of people embark on their desired journey. Many of them choose to travel by plane, sometimes encountering unexpected situations. Today, we’re going to talk to you about how to survive in an airport this summer.

At Carttec we research and develop products and solutions for the professional and aeronautical sector. We believe that proper airport management will necessarily lead to greater convenience for all travellers. As a result of this work, we have developed tools such as Horustec Aeropuerto, a state-of-the-art airport trolley and asset management system that, among other things, allows you maintain constant control of all trolleys, to know where they are at any given moment, when they are being used or are immobilised, and their location at any point in the terminal or car park.

In this way, professionals can find out where there is no supply of trolleys or where they are parked, and can balance the entire fleet for passenger relaxation. What could be more uncomfortable than having to carry all your luggage through a terminal? Horustec Aeropuerto solves that problem!

Tips for surviving in an airport

If you want to go on holiday and not die trying, here are some tips for surviving in an airport that we consider essential:

  • Arrive well in advance. If you have to check in, you will need to be there two or two and a half hours beforehand. If you are visiting destinations outside Europe, it is advisable to arrive at least 3 hours in advance to avoid stress and anxiety.
  • Have everything ready before you arrive. What do we mean by this? Well, your boarding pass, your passport and any other documents that you will need during your trip.
  • Watch out for excessive weight in your suitcase. Airlines strictly monitor the weight of luggage, which usually ranges from 10 to 23 kilos. If you don’t want any unpleasant surprises, take only what you need.
  • Make yourself comfortable. The secret to surviving in an airport is to seek maximum comfort and minimum stress. For that we have airport trolleys, but we can also look for that comfort in the clothes and shoes we wear, for example.

And above all, the most important thing is patience. Unfortunately, we will sometimes encounter delays or other inconveniences. Keep in mind that sooner or later, you will always reach your destination. Concentrate on enjoying yourself.
